Lake to Lake
Light to Intermediate Day Hike
A day away from the city: Light to Intermediate 7.5 miles hike, with option to go for an extended loop: 8.5+ miles.
Rolling hills with amazing views of two gorgeous lakes and several hundred feet cliffs.
*(During summer months: cool off with a refreshing swim in the lake)
Located in the Minnewaska State Preserve, 1 hour 45 minutes from New York:
The
Minnewaska State Park Preserve is a 21,106 acre (8,541 ha) preserve
located on the Shawangunk Ridge in New York. Minnewaska is situated on
the dramatic Shawangunk Mountain plateau that rises more than 2,000
feet above sea level.
Clear streams cut into valleys, incising sheer cliffs and ledges and emerging in waterfalls.
There
are outstanding views of the nearby Catskill Mountains. There are three
sky lakes within the Park Preserve: Lake Minnewaska, Lake Awosting, and
Mud Pond. Lake Minnewaska is roughly a mile long by a quarter-mile at
its widest point. Lake Awosting is roughly twice as large.
For you to bring: backpack, lunch, sandwiches, picnic, water, liquids... and good spirits !!
Upon return to the van, you will be "greeted" by beer, water, and Gatorade... and some snacks for the way back...
Hiking boots always recommended, sneakers ok...

Registration
is refundable up to 6 business days prior to the activity date minus a
$20 administrative & processing fee per ticket. Within 6 business
days of the activity date all purchases are final and Non-Refundable.
Change of date:
If you need to or want to change your date after you purchased your ticket: up to 6 business days prior to the activity, there will be a
$20 administrative & processing fee per ticket. Within 6 business
days of the activity, the $20 fee will also apply; however, the date change might only be possibly if we can replace you. New date is subject to availability and restrictions apply.
Weather Policy:
In
case we have to cancel due to weather; we will apply a
full forward credit to this very same activity or any future
event of choice.
